Good point, Nishit.
Gomez has actually cropped up quite a bit in the Internet transfer chatter recently with, unsurprisingly as you might expect, Chelsea willing to spend some of their oil profits on the Stuttgart striker. For Gomez though I don't think this would be such a great move. I think he can develop a great deal further and he won't be doing much of that on the Chelsea bench. I think he would be much better off staying where he is for a while, or moving to somewhere like Werder Bremen for a couple of seasons before even thinking about going abroad.
As for Villa going to Man U - I honestly don't think they need him. Sir Alex has Rooney and Tevez who play a similar game and are more robust than Villa, making them better suited for the way United play in the Premiership. Villa would do well at Arsenal with their style, working behind a big striker like Adebayor. Personally, I'd like to see him team up with Fernando Torres at Liverpool. He could play behind El Nino in the position Gerrard was used in for the last half of the season, between the lone striker and midfield. Compadres and colleagues with Spain, Torres and Villa up front for Liverpool could be quite special - and would make this Red particularly happy!
Someone should look at Mario Gomez as well. And if Pirlo and Deco are actually leaving, then Chelsea are gonna go for them. We just know that dont we? Do you think Sir Alex will look at Villa as an option?
